On 28 May, GME Secretary General Cecilia Luetgebrune gave some insights on the potential impact of the new Fertilizers Regulation (FPR) on the growing media sector. The full day conference organized by Fertilizers Europe featured several experts from the fertilisers industry and related sectors focussing on different aspects of the new legislation. Amongst other topics, speakers shed light on how the conformity assessment and the labelling of CE-marked fertilizing products will be implemented in practice, what role the notified bodies will play and how the challenge of biodegradable coatings could be mastered.
