Rafael Bolinches is CEO of Projar, a Spanish company specialising in technological solutions for horticulture. With an Agricultural Engineer with an MBA, he has over 20 years of experience in the sector.

He has represented Projar in Growing Media Europe since 2020 and was elected President of GME in 2026.

Pekka Tennilä is CEO of Neova Group and Kekkilä-BVB. He has extensive international leadership experience across a range of industries and has held senior management positions in several international companies.

Pekka joined Kekkilä-BVB in 2023 and represents the company within Growing Media Europe (GME).

​Jan Astrup is the Managing Director of the Klasmann-Deilmann Group. His main areas of responsibility are raw materials, production, and sales. To the GME Board, he brings long years of experience gained from various executive roles in the substrate and food sectors.

René Gjerding is Group CEO of Pindstrup, a position he has held since 2022. He has more than 25 years of international executive experience, with a strong background in business leadership, private equity, and corporate development.

Prior to joining Pindstrup, René was a Partner at PwC, specialising in mergers and acquisitions and business improvement.

Toine Schipper is owner of Nurme Turvas in Estonia and RYSA Substrates in the Netherlands. He has been active in the peat and growing media industry for almost 30 years.

He holds a Master's degree in Movement Science with a sporty background.
